PHOENIX, AZ (November 26, 2024) – GameSafe, an app that leverages AI and machine learning to monitor and safeguard children in online gaming chat environments and alerts parents in real-time of detected threats, will launch for iOS on November 28, 2024 (Thanksgiving Day), it was announced today by GameSafe CEO David Everitt. The three games on iOS that GameSafe can be used with are Minecraft, Roblox, and Among Us.
“There is nothing like GameSafe on iOS,” said David Everitt, CEO of GameSafe. “GameSafe is the only app available on iOS that offers real-time protection while a child is gaming online. This is an option parents have long desired since studies have revealed that of the children on devices who play games, 87% play them on an iPad or iPhone.”
David Everitt created GameSafe after witnessing a predator approach his pre-teen daughter while she was playing an online game.
GameSafe already works across Android, Google Play, and Windows PC, and in a recent independent outside audit it received an 86% success rating across all models. Those who sign up for GameSafe on iOS will receive the first 60 days for free.
Many in the digital industry have expressed their excitement about GameSafe being available on iOS, such as the following
-
Nicki Reisberg (“Scrolling 2 Death” podcast host and Digital Safety Advocate) – “There is so much concern about social media, the gaming platforms are often overlooked. Yet, games like Roblox and Minecraft are ripe for predation. Built-in parental controls do not go far enough to protect our children, which is why we need additional monitoring through tools like GameSafe AI.”
-
Richard Pursey (CEO and Founder of SafeToNet) – “GameSafe sets a new standard for child safety by reporting threats in real-time across iOS, Android, and Windows PC devices. This new approach to protection provides parents and guardians with a valuable tool to ensure their children are safe from threats they face while gaming online, no matter their game. It is an essential tool for parents.”
-
Eduardo Yumet (AGMS, Director of Communication) - I recently saw a demonstration of GameSafe and was impressed by how quickly and accurately it reports the content that kids encounter online. I have struggled with the built-in controls on my kids' iPads, but with GameSafe, I feel more at ease knowing I can have conversations with my kids about their online exposure and protect them from potential threats. It has given me a sense of security and empowerment in our always-connected world. I would highly recommend GameSafe to all parents. It's a must-have tool.”
